Happy Holidays

The snow has arrived! With all the extra cold weather we’ve been having over the past few weeks, we’ve been working hard to keep our skin from suffering. And with two of our girls just back from skiing holidays, they have some tips and tricks to keep your skin smooth and hydrated throughout the harsh winter.

Gemma & Lucy have just returned, fresh from the slopes of Austria, after a skiing holiday with friends. As a true beauty girls, they had to take all their must-have products with them for the trip (travelling light is never an option).

Essentials for skiing in the cold weather were:

Dermalogica Climate Control – An intense formula for the lips, a delicate area to treat when freezing temperatures can easily crack and chap the skin. This keeps the skin supple and smooth.

Dermalogica Barrier Repair – A silky feel serum that does exactly what it says; creating a barrier once applied over the face. This helps keep the effects of harsh weather at bay by creating a barrier against them.

Bare Minerals Foundation – Even when skiing, we like to make a little effort on the make-up front. Swirling a small amount of the foundation around the face will give skin a light glow, whilst protecting against any winter sun with SPF 15, and keeping redness to a minimum with added zinc, after bombing down the slopes with the wind hitting your face.

Why not give them a try and see what you think of the difference in your skin?

We hope you’re all keeping warm, or outside making the most of the snow for the next few days.

Shimmer & Shine

This season it’s all about sparkle; with glitter, stars and sequins all over the catwalks at Miu Miu, Dolce and Gabanna and Marc Jacobs. The party season may technically be over, but we think adding a bit of sparkle to your January can brighten up this typically gloomy month. And, of course, we have lots of tips and tricks to share with our lovely clients!
Nails
The Jessica Geleration formula has recently come up with a sheer glitter flecked polish to add to your gel base colour for your nails. The new glitter varnish, ‘Scarlet’, is our favourite addition to the collection to add some sparkle to your nails.

Eyes
Brighten up eyes with a bit of shimmer eyeliner. Adding some liner to your look is a quick and easy way to change your make up in a few minutes. We love the Bare Minerals Light Show Liners, a shimmering pack of three shades to choose from, depending on your mood, containing bronze, silver and gold shades. We love!
Skin
Give skin an iridescent glow with our Fake Bake Shimmer formulas, which can be applied for the day or night and washed off with soap and water. This instant tan is an all-rounder; giving a healthy glow and a subtle glitter shimmer all in one! A must-have for nights out pre-spray tan days.
Lips
We love the Buxon lip glosses from Bare Minerals. As well as using all natural ingredients across the brand, these glosses also plump the natural lips with a tingly sensation, and leave lips with a full glossy pout with added shimmer. Perfect!
Why not visit Lovingbeauty.co.uk and try out some of our favourite products to see which suit you best.

Product Review 'Australian Bodycare Tea Tree Hand and Body Lotion'

Over the years I have tried and tested hundreds of hand creams and until recently my personal favourite has always been 'Soap and Glory Hand Food'. I think the main reason this has been my favourite is the colour of the bottle (PINK!) and also the smell of the cream, it really does smell like marshmallows!

www.soapandglory.com/products/scents-1/original-pink/hand-food

However I decided it was about time I had a change and decided to try one of our own products 'Australian Bodycare Hand and Body Lotion'. The bottle isn't quite as pretty as the Soap & Glory but its a nice shade of green and very practical with a screw top rather than a cap, so chance of spillage. As you can see from the photo below the bottle is the perfect size to put in your handbag to.

The scent is fresh and light (tea tree) so greta for both men and women to use and the consistency of the cream isn't to thick and spread easily on my hands. The lotion is white and left my hands feeling instantly moisturised and smelling fresh. I have to say I was very impressed! It didn't leave my hands feeling greasy afterwards just supple. The lotion can also be used as all over body cream and is often applied to shaved skin to moisturise and help prevent ingrowing hairs.

The ingredients are as follows:

Aqua, paraffinum liquidum, melaleuca alternifolia (5%), glycerine, isopropyl myristate, stearic cid, glycol stearate, isopropyl lanolate, triethanolamine, carbomer, cetearyl alcohol, sodium laureth sulphate, propylene glycol, diazolidinyl urea, methylparaben, propylparaben, limonene, linalool, coumarine, parfum.

If you wish to purchase the hand lotion, its available from Lovingbeauty.co.uk and costs £11.63 for 150ml.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you all!

We hope you had an amazing Christmas and New Year, we sure did we worked very hard over the Christmas and New Year period however we had our fair share of parting as well.

Gemma headed up to London on new years eve to watch the fire works and have dinner at the first indian restaurant in london, Veeraswamy which was amazing and comes highly recommended, she ensured she wore her halo hair for the occasion complemented by her favourite Bali spray tan.

Gemma drinking her favourite cocktail … The Kir Royale

Jamie Leigh went to a fancy dress party and dressed up as the ever so sexy Alice in Wonderland with a matching blonde wig we think she looks amazing, sadly Jamie didn't have time for a spray tan and so instead, she used her favourite Flawless FakeBake Self Tan (who would have known it was manually applied)!

Can you spot Jamie?

Lucy went to sunny Wales for the New Year and typically it poured the whole time. Unfortunately for Lucy she was fast asleep by 10 after a busy day involving lots of food, alcohol and children running wild! However she did have time to apply her La La Lashes, Desire in the morning so at least she looked the part!

Jack playing with his new pink pram which he loves!
